As Free As a Bird

I feel very happy and carefree lately.

I had the company of long-time good friends.

I kept myself buried in work and had almost no time to think about rubbish and "ill fate of sorts".

I was enlightened yesterday after many months of mental and physicall suffering.

At least, I was told that I did not cause the deaths of my loved ones, directly or indirectly. The Great One Above knows too. I am not a jinx who caused deaths. Yes, I used to think that I am a ill-fated 扫把星. But not anymore. Tears, anger and pain used to engulf me blindly and overwhelmingly. Not anymore. Maybe my theshold for pain is getting increasingly smaller. Am I on the road to recovery ? Should be ba... If not, I may suffer from depression sooner or later....

I am enjoying my once long-lost freedom, as free as a bird.

I am that happy that I wished I had wings to fly ^-^

Nope, I am not in love romantically. At least, not me.

I wanna keep my emotions for the right one, not just for anyone.

I was walking back to my office when I heard Project Super Star's Kelvin Tan Weilian's version of this Jacky Cheung love ballad.

I was in awe.

Or should I say I was mermerised by his excellent performance, during the Singing Quest's Finals and CD version.

Ohhhh....he made my heart go thump, thump, thump again and should I listen to the entire song, I think I will tear again.

Hastily, I scurried back to work.

I Am Smitten

I can't believe this !

I am becoming smitten with Ma Xiao Ling, the lead lady in the new HK drama I Have a date with Vampire 3. Her real name is Joey Man Yee-Man or Wan Qiwen in Mandarin.

She is not conventionally beautiful but is sweet and cute.

I love watching her dramas.
Can you guys believe that she used to look like this ?


Nevertheless, she is definitely lovelier and fairer now... If I were a guy, I think I would go for these type of cutie beauties... I do adore her current look in her latest serial, I have a date with vampire 3 and dun feel she look a day after 25 years ! Dun you think so ?




I can't believe she is fast becoming 33 years old ! Her birthday is approaching on 2nd Oct 1972 !

Money, Cash & Sense

Money is NOT everything but without it, we cannot survive in this materialistic world too !

I have been spending a good few weeknites last month in a freelance part time job and was over the moon when I received my 1st pay cheque for that job recently. The extra cash will be handy should my family or myself need it on a rainy day.

That job was pretty simple and those working there seemed to be in a very lax mode. Easy money ! But the turnover rate is high. Our bosses there need fresh faces every now and then so I guess I may be "kicked out anytime without much notice too". However, I am glad that I am still working there till now.

Just a few moments ago, I received a call from my ex-superior from my ex-company. She needs old staff to work in her new current company! Her current company is somehow similar to our old jobscope. Not too bad, with another part time job offer coming along when I am considering quitting my current part time job coz I am kinda bored with it. Yes, I have a rather short attention span. I might be able to earn more from the new part time job too !

My Mum thought I was a money-grubber. Some concerned friends asked me why am I working so hard. I do appreciate their care and concern. Or maybe I feel that I need to keep myself occupied by working, working and working, day and night ! Also, given today's and most probably the future inflation rates, higher expenses and heavier responsibilities to be incurred as one grows older, one will not mind earning more for their future right ?

Besides, I am still young and abled-bodied and would rather work hard now to earn more. There is a Chinese proverb which says 先苦后甜（suffer now, enjoy later) which I find very meaningful and apt for me. Anyway, I am pathetically single now, hence, no need to worry about the lustful boyfriend who might stray while I am hard at work. With their own hard-earned money, women will feel more satisfied and secure, isn't it ? Think I am getting more and more independent and stronger these days.

Hazelnut Coffee

I bought another 2 big packets of these goodies from the World Food Fair 2005 at Suntec just now !

Simply irresistable ! Beri, beri nice to the liking of an initially non-coffee lover aka me.

There is a SGD 1.00 discount off each packet, good till the end of the fair... which is tomorrow, 6th Sept.

I know I am the typical Singaporean, ever so cheapo and kiasu....but can save money, save lor !

World Food Fair 2005

Last evening, I went to the World Food Fair 2005 at Suntec Convention Halls 602-603.

These are some of the food and dessert my friends and I ate ......



Sinful Japanese green tea ice cream ! It tastes just so rich and creamy.... Heavenly !
Taiwanese mian qian and sharks' fin soup (more like starch-cum-vinegar soup!!)
My friend and I also bought a packet of hazelnut coffee each. There are 15 sachets in each packet and the armona is very coffee-ly and fragrant ! The brand is OLD TOWN. Got free samples of the beverage in the booth somemore ! Go try it !

SuperStar Super Concert!

I am so happy for words that I cried. Cried when the name of the WINNER of SuperStar Super Concert -Kelvin Tan- was announced.

I was never an avid fan of this local talent quest from the very start but found time to watch the very 1st espiode and the last few.

It was the intensity of each contestant's vocal power that glued me to the telly and hear them sing.

Actually, it does not really matter on who's the winner for these 2 finalists coz BOTH are already assured of a singing contract EACH from 2 very reputable record companies.

Anyway, I still wanna say "Congrats to 2005 SuperStar winner, Kelvin Tan and go for it !! All the best in your singing career ! I loved the Tong Hua and Jacky Cheung song you sang in the SuperStar Super Concert finals just now ! It was simply a classic and your strength and vocals touched my and many a heart completely....."
