To choose over $ or interest in a job ?

When one was younger, one will normally be clueless about their future career.

Some join the work force blindly and end up quitting unhappily after working for sometime.

Sometimes, interest is one thing, money is another.

If your interest in the job takes you nowhere far, I think money will be the next priority.

Recently, I have been wondering; if I were to switch to another profession, I might earn more. If I remain stagnant, I might become like this forever :(

I think I am at a cross roads now, for I am neither here nor there.

What should I do ???

  • It's a sad fact that people are forced to work because of the need to earn money. I guess the best would to find some job that is of interest to you and pays reasonably well.

  • everyone want's a job that pays well and of coz which interest you.

however most of the time it doesn't work out this perfect way which we always hoped for.'

right now for me... even without a job, i'm still stuck in the middle of the crossroad.

    that's what i call LIFE.

  • It's all got to do with personal aspiration and lifestyle that you are seeking.

If you earn $1000/month, you will maintain a $1000/month lifestyle. Looking back I am sure you have survived a $500/month wages.

It is all in perspective. Once that financial illusion is cleared, you will realize the importance of doing something of interest, the something that keeps you getting up early every day looking forward to another challenging workday.

  • jayaxe : true, true... this is one of life's many sad facts that most of the working class have to face. what to do ? There are bills to pay, a family to support & our stomachs to feed.

heatherina : To get a job that pays well isn't easy; need some years of relevant experience and the relevant diploma or deg to fetch the high salary. And usually, High PAY = Truck loads of WORK + MENTAL STRESS !

But I do agree with u though, that l@@king for a job is like l@@king for a husband ! We have to be more stringent in searching for the latter though !

hermit : how very true !

spectrakia : What a logical perspective ! I do agree with u though :) However, I think my current job is not challenging enuff... more of a routine job :(
