Love at 1st Sight ?

How many people actually believe in "love at first sight" or something similar ? Maybe not exactly "love" at the very first time you set your eyes at someone foreign, but to me, it is always true that once you meet a stranger for the first time, be it your friend's friend, new colleague etc, male or female, young or old, you will either like or dislike that person.

One's best friends, very close friends or long-time pals are usually those whom one like or love at their very first meetings.

Similarly, for the opposite sexes, looks do matter, especially for the guys. Guys fall for cute, lovable, sweet, busty, slim or beautiful girls when they see girls of those "qualities". On the hind side, not-so-attractive, not-so-slim, not cute, figure-less or plain girls are not that popular with the men.

Those (like your schoolmates, teachers, bosses, colleagues, neighbours or fair-weathered friends) who don't like your face or whatevers will be those who will torture (aka ter-kan) you or not pay you any reasonable attention. Yes, life is that unfair to those less attractive. The better-looking or better-off ones often tend to get away a whole lot easier.

But, what to do ?
