Some happy news...

Met up with the girls last Friday evening at Junction 8 Secret Recipe. We had never seen such a crowded Secret Recipe b4, especially in sub-urban Bishan ! About 15 minutes later, we finally managed to grab 4 seats. The dinner sets, which consist of either pasta or baked rice, a normal cake & a drink, were not very appetizing. I thought we could be assured of a nice cheesecake there ! Maybe not with the set meals :(

On a happier note, I received this as a belated birthday-cum-x'mas pressie from Rebecca !

There was a S-A-L-E at By-si and I bought this at SGD23 ! Rebecca said that I look very Hongkonger wearing this ! So I bought it ...
It has been quite a while since I bought a decent top or dress for myself.... I thought I needed more decent clothes for work since most of my clothes are mainly semi-casual ones.

Guess what ? I received a call from a local bank on Friday morning ! And to think that I had not sent any single resumes out for about 1 month ! The HR lady asked if I were still on the lookout for a job & whether it was convenient for me to speak to her then. I hesitated for a while and replied that I would call her back later (since she mentioned that she would be available anytime). I was very glad that I did not refused her offer. After calling her sometime in the afternoon (at my current office when nobody was within 50 metres near me), we arranged for a meeting or to be more precised, an interview next week. And she said that she will send me an email for the things to bing, exact location etc.

When I read the email, I was a bit shocked ! With a tinge of happiness, I should say ! It is not just an executive position but a managerial position in a reputable financial institute! I guess that the 3 months or so in my part time stinct helped a bit. My 3 years of full time job experience might also have aided in the whole process. I dunno.... Have to go check it out come next week.

Then, if all things go smoothly, I would at least have the face to tell all my relatives of my new job status when Christmas & CNY approach mah.... Very typical Singaporean hor ?
